My Wife Asked Me Why I Was Wearing Sunglasses at Night
I walked into the living room wearing sunglasses.
My wife looked at me.
“Why are you wearing sunglasses inside?”
“I have a headache.”
She stared at me.
“And sunglasses help?”
“Yes.”
“How?”
“They block the light.”
She looked around.
“The lights aren’t even on.”
I paused.
“Exactly. They’re working perfectly.”
She shook her head.
“You’re wearing sunglasses in the dark because you have a headache?”
I nodded.
“Very advanced medical treatment.”
She laughed.
“Fine. Keep them on.”
A few minutes later, I walked into the kitchen and immediately bumped into the table.
My wife shouted,
“Are you okay?”
I said,
“Absolutely.”
“You just walked into the table!”
“I couldn’t see it.”
She pointed at my sunglasses.
“Maybe because you’re wearing those!”
I slowly removed them.
“Oh.”
She laughed.
“So much for your advanced treatment.”
I put them back on.
“Don’t question the doctor.”
😂 Moral: Confidence can make even a terrible idea sound professional.
