My Little Brother Tried to Hide His Report Card From Mom
My little brother came home from school unusually quiet.
Mom asked,
“How was school?”
“Good.”
“How did you do on your test?”
“Great.”
“Can I see your report card?”
He froze.
“Why?”
“Because I’m your mother.”
He thought for a moment.
“That’s not really a reason.”
Mom raised an eyebrow.
“Give me the report card.”
He slowly handed it over.
Mom looked at the grades.
Then looked at him.
“Why did you get a 42?”
He shrugged.
“Because the teacher gave me 42.”
Mom stared.
“Out of 100!”
He nodded.
“She should’ve given me more.”
“Why?”
“Because I worked very hard.”
“Doing what?”
“Trying not to get caught looking at my friend’s answers.”
Mom covered her face.
“So you failed the test and got caught cheating?”
He smiled.
“Technically, I got two things wrong.”
“What two things?”
“The answers…”
“…and the plan.”
Mom couldn’t stop laughing.
😂 Moral: A bad grade is temporary. A terrible excuse can become a family story forever.
