My Dad Tried to Teach Me How to Drive
Dad sat beside me while I practiced driving.
“Relax,” he said. “I’ve been driving for 30 years.”
I nodded.
“Okay.”
A few seconds later, he shouted,
“BRAKE!”
I slammed the brakes.
“What happened?”
“Nothing.”
“Then why did you yell?”
“I was testing your reflexes.”
We continued driving.
A minute later, he shouted,
“TURN!”
I turned.
“Why?”
“Testing your awareness.”
Five minutes later, he grabbed the dashboard and screamed,
“STOP!”
I pulled over.
“Dad, what’s wrong?”
He took a deep breath.
“Nothing.”
“Then why are you panicking?”
He looked at me.
“I just remembered I’m teaching you.”
😂 Moral: Driving lessons are mostly about discovering which parent has the stronger heart.
