The internet suddenly stopped working.
Dad stood up confidently.
“Nobody touch anything. I’ll fix it.”
He unplugged the router…
Plugged it back in…
Crossed his arms.
“There.”
We waited.
Nothing happened.
Mom asked,
“Did it work?”

“It usually does.”
Just then my little brother walked over.
“Did you press the power button?”
The room went silent.
Dad slowly looked at the router…
…then quietly pressed the button.
The Wi-Fi came back instantly.
Dad smiled.
“I was just testing everyone’s patience.”
