The Tour Guide Realized He Had the Wrong Group
A tour guide stood in front of a group and smiled.
“Welcome! Today we’ll be exploring the oldest castle in the region.”
Everyone followed him inside.
He explained the history.
“This castle was built in 1420.”
A woman raised her hand.
“Who built it?”
“King Edward.”
Another person asked,
“How long did it take?”
“Twenty years.”
The guide smiled.
“Any other questions?”
A little boy raised his hand.
“Where’s the bathroom?”
The guide pointed down the hallway.
“That way.”
Five minutes later, the entire group was standing outside the bathroom.
The guide looked around.
“Wait.”
Everyone looked at him.
“Where did the castle tour go?”
A woman pointed toward the parking lot.
“We thought you were the bathroom tour guide.”
The guide sighed.
“I’ve been giving you history for twenty minutes.”
The woman smiled.
“We were just being polite.”
