My Dad Tried to Impress Everyone at Breakfast

Dad walked into the kitchen wearing an apron.

“Today, I’m making the perfect pancakes.”

Mom smiled.

“Do you know how?”

Dad nodded confidently.

“How hard can pancakes be?”

Ten minutes later, he proudly placed one on my plate.

I poked it with my fork.

“Why is it so hard?”

Dad looked offended.

“It’s not hard.”

I tapped it on the table.

Toc. Toc. Toc.

Dad stared at it.

“Okay… maybe it’s slightly confident.”

Mom started laughing.

Dad picked it up and said,

“Nobody worry. I’ll make eggs.”

Mom quickly stopped him.

“Let’s just order breakfast.”

Dad sighed.

“Fine. But the pancakes were almost ready.”

😂 Moral: When breakfast can be used as a doorstop, it’s time to call for help.
