The Restaurant Customer Found Something Strange in His Soup
A customer suddenly called the waiter over.
“Excuse me!”
The waiter rushed over.
“Is everything okay?”
“No!”
He pointed into his soup.
“There’s a fly in it!”
The waiter looked at the bowl.
“That’s unusual.”
“Unusual?! It’s swimming!”
The waiter leaned closer.
The fly was indeed floating around.
The customer looked furious.
“I want this removed immediately!”
The waiter nodded.
“Of course.”
He picked up the bowl and walked away.
Thirty seconds later, he returned with a new bowl.
The customer inspected it carefully.
“No fly.”
The waiter smiled.
“Perfect.”
The customer took one spoonful.
Then stopped.
“Wait.”
“What?”
“This soup tastes exactly like the last one.”
The waiter nodded.
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Because we removed the fly. We didn’t change the soup.”
The customer stared at him.
“Then what happened to the fly?”
The waiter smiled.
“He’s been promoted.”
