My Neighbor Knocked on My Door at 2 AM and Asked for a Favor
My neighbor knocked on my door at 2 AM.
I opened it half asleep.
“Is everything okay?”
He whispered,
“Could you help me?”
“Sure. What’s wrong?”
“I can’t sleep.”
I looked at him.
“And how can I help?”
He pointed at his house.
“My wife is snoring.”
I nodded sympathetically.
“That’s unfortunate.”
“Exactly.”
“So what do you want me to do?”
He smiled.
“Come over and wake her up.”
I stared at him.
“You want me to wake your wife?”
“Yes.”
“At 2 AM?”
“Please.”
I laughed.
“Why don’t you wake her yourself?”
He leaned closer and whispered,
“Because I value my life.”
I couldn’t stop laughing.
“Then what makes you think I value mine?”
He thought about it.
“Honestly… I didn’t.”
Then he quietly walked back home.
😂 Moral: Never volunteer for a problem that isn’t yours—especially at 2 AM.
