My Teacher Asked for One Good Reason
The teacher looked at Jake.
“Why are you late again?”
Jake smiled.
“I have a good reason.”
“Let’s hear it.”
“My alarm clock didn’t go off.”
The teacher crossed her arms.
“That’s the oldest excuse in the book.”
Jake nodded.
“I know.”
“So what really happened?”
“My alarm clock overslept.”
The whole class laughed.
The teacher tried to stay serious.
“So… your alarm needs an alarm?”
Jake grinned.
“Exactly!”
Even the teacher laughed before marking him late.
