My Dad Put His Phone in the Fridge and Blamed the Phone
Dad walked into the kitchen looking annoyed.
“Has anyone seen my phone?”
Mom said, “You had it five minutes ago.”
“I know! That’s why I’m asking.”
We all started looking.
Under the sofa.
On the table.
In the bedroom.
Nothing.
Dad suddenly shouted,
“Found it!”
We ran into the kitchen.
He opened the fridge and pulled out his phone.
I stared at him.
“Dad… why was your phone in the fridge?”
He looked at it seriously.
“I don’t know.”
Mom laughed.
“You must have put it there.”
Dad shook his head.
“Impossible.”
“Why?”
“I remember putting something in the fridge.”
“What?”
He thought for a moment.
“My phone.”
Everyone started laughing.
Dad looked confused.
“Wait… why did I put my phone in the fridge?”
Mom said,
“Maybe you wanted to keep it cool.”
Dad nodded.
“That actually makes sense.”
Then he put the phone back in the fridge.
Mom shouted,
“WHY DID YOU DO IT AGAIN?”
Dad looked at us.
“I was testing my theory.”
