My Brother Said He Was Helping with the Laundry
Mom asked my brother,
“Did you help with the laundry?”
“Yep!”
She smiled.
“What did you do?”
“I watched the washing machine.”
“You… watched it?”
“Of course.”
“You told me to keep an eye on it.”
Mom tried not to laugh.
“So you didn’t fold the clothes?”
“No.”
“Did you put them in the dryer?”
“No.”
“But I watched the machine the whole time.”
Mom shook her head and laughed.
“I guess next time I need to be more specific.”
My brother grinned.
“I was following instructions perfectly.”
😂 Moral: Kids hear exactly what you say… not what you mean.
