The Man Bought a Talking Clock Because He Was Tired of Being Alone
The clock sat on the wall and spoke every hour.
“It’s six o’clock.”
The man smiled.
“Thank you.”
At seven, the clock spoke again.
“It’s seven o’clock.”
“Thanks, buddy.”
At eight, the man heard the clock again.
“It’s eight o’clock.”
The man smiled.
“You’re a good friend.”
His sister looked at him.
“You know it’s just a clock, right?”
He nodded.
“I know.”
“Then why do you keep talking to it?”
He looked at the clock.
“Because it is the only friend I have who always knows what time it is.”
His sister smiled.
“That is sad.”
The clock suddenly spoke:
“She’s right.”
The man stared at it.
“Did you just insult me?”
The clock said:
“It’s eight-oh-one.”
😂 Moral: When even your clock starts judging you, it’s time to make some friends.
