The Substitute Teacher Asked the Class Who Thought They Were Smarter Than Her

The substitute teacher walked into the classroom and said confidently:

“Today, I want to know who thinks they’re smarter than I am.”

Nobody raised a hand.

She smiled.

“Excellent. At least this class is respectful.”

A student in the back slowly raised his hand.

The teacher looked surprised.

“You think you’re smarter than me?”

“No.”

“Then why did you raise your hand?”

The student shrugged.

“I just felt bad watching you stand there alone.”

The entire class exploded with laughter.

The teacher stared at him.

“What’s your name?”

“Kevin.”

“Kevin, please see me after class.”

Kevin nodded.

“See? Now we’re both staying late.”

😂 Moral: Some students don’t answer questions—they create new ones for the teacher.
