The Grandma Entered the Wrong Taxi and Didn’t Notice for Ten Minutes
An elderly woman climbed into a taxi and said,
“Take me to the hospital.”
The driver nodded and started driving.
Ten minutes later, she looked out the window.
“Young man…”
“Yes, ma’am?”
“This doesn’t look like the road to the hospital.”
The driver looked confused.
“You said the shopping mall.”
She stared at him.
“I said hospital.”
He slammed the brakes.
“I’m so sorry!”
She looked around.
“Where are we?”
“The shopping mall.”
She thought for a moment.
“Well…”
“Yes?”
“Since we’re here, can you wait five minutes?”
“Why?”
“I need to return something.”
The driver laughed.
“Are you serious?”
She smiled.
“Of course.”
Then she opened her handbag.
“And after that, take me to the hospital.”
The driver sighed.
“Why?”
She pulled out a receipt.
“Because that’s where I bought this terrible purse.”
