The Magician Was Asked to Make Something Disappear
At a children’s party, the magician announced,
“Who wants to see something disappear?”
Everyone shouted,
“ME!”
He pulled a coin from his pocket.
“Watch carefully.”
He covered it with his hand.
“One, two, three!”
He opened his hand.
The coin was gone.
The kids cheered.
Then one little boy raised his hand.
“I can do that.”
The magician smiled.
“Really?”
The boy nodded.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a cookie.
“Watch this.”
He took one bite.
Then another.
Then another.
The magician laughed.
“That’s not magic.”
The boy finished the cookie.
“Where did it go?”
The magician pointed at his stomach.
“You ate it!”
The boy smiled.
“Exactly.”
Then he looked at the magician.
“Your turn.”
