My Wife Told Me I Never Listen to Her
My wife looked at me and said,
“You never listen to anything I say.”
I immediately replied,
“That’s not true.”
She crossed her arms.
“Really? What did I just say?”
I smiled confidently.
“You said I never listen.”
She stared at me.
“Exactly.”
I nodded.
“See? I listened.”
She walked away shaking her head.
I thought I’d won.
Five minutes later, she came back.
“Did you take the chicken out of the freezer?”
I froze.
“The what?”
She smiled.
“Exactly.”
I checked the freezer.
The chicken was still there.
I looked at her.
“You know, technically, I was listening.”
She laughed.
“Listening isn’t the same as remembering.”
I nodded.
“That’s what I was going to say.”
She stared at me.
“You literally just proved my point again.”
π Moral: In marriage, sometimes winning the argument is just another way of losing it.
