My Dad Tried to Win an Argument With Google

Dad was arguing with Mom about what time the grocery store closed.

Mom said, “It closes at eight.”

Dad said, “No, it closes at nine.”

Mom checked her phone.

“Google says eight.”

Dad shook his head.

“Google is wrong.”

Mom looked at him.

“Why?”

“Because I’ve been there before.”

“So?”

“I remember it being open at nine.”

Mom smiled.

“That was last year.”

Dad thought for a moment.

“Exactly. They probably changed the internet.”

I started laughing.

Mom asked, “How does someone change the internet?”

Dad shrugged.

“Probably with an update.”

Then he looked at his phone.

“Wait…”

“What?”

“The store closes at eight.”

Mom smiled.

“Thank you, Google.”

Dad nodded.

“Fine. But I still don’t trust it.”

😂 Moral: Sometimes the hardest thing to accept is being wrong in front of your own family.
