The Astronaut Called Home With a Very Serious Complaint
An astronaut called the space station control room.
“Houston, we have a problem.”
The engineer immediately became serious.
“What happened?”
“My coffee is floating away.”
“That’s normal in zero gravity.”
“I know.”
“So what’s the problem?”
The astronaut sighed.
“It’s decaf.”
The engineer paused.
“That’s the emergency?”
“Absolutely.”
“You have oxygen, electricity, communication…”
“And decaf.”
“What’s wrong with decaf?”
The astronaut stared at the floating cup.
“I came all the way to space to escape bad coffee.”
The engineer laughed.
“You’re an astronaut.”
“Exactly.”
“You volunteered for this.”
“I didn’t volunteer for decaf.”
The engineer sighed.
“Do you want us to send real coffee?”
The astronaut smiled.
“Yes.”
“Next supply mission is in three months.”
Silence.
Then the astronaut whispered,
“Cancel my spacewalk.”
“Why?”
“I need to have a word with whoever packed this.”
😂 Moral: You can survive zero gravity, but apparently not bad coffee.
