The Coach Discovered Why His Team Kept Losing
A basketball coach gathered his team after another terrible game.
“We need to talk.”
Everyone looked nervous.
The coach pointed at the scoreboard.
“We scored 42 points.”
The players nodded.
“Our opponents scored 89.”
Everyone looked down.
The coach sighed.
“Does anyone know what went wrong?”
One player slowly raised his hand.
“I do.”
“What?”
“We practiced offense.”
“Yes?”
“But nobody told the defense.”
The coach stared at him.
“That’s not how teamwork works.”
The player nodded.
“We figured that out around halftime.”
The coach rubbed his forehead.
“Why didn’t you say anything?”
“We didn’t want to interrupt.”
“Interrupt what?”
The player pointed at the other team.
“Their winning.”
😂 Moral: Teamwork is important—but preferably with the entire team.
