The Waiter Watched a Man Put His Phone in the Freezer

A waiter noticed a customer take his phone out, stare at it, and then put it inside the restaurant’s freezer.

He rushed over.

“Sir, what are you doing?”

“Cooling it down.”

“Why?”

“It’s overheating.”

The waiter looked at the phone.

“It’s not even warm.”

The man nodded.

“Exactly. I’m preventing the problem.”

The waiter laughed.

“That’s not how phones work.”

The man opened the freezer.

“Then why does the ice cream stay cold?”

The waiter stared at him.

“Because… it’s ice cream.”

The man nodded seriously.

“Exactly. Phones are smart. They’ll figure it out.”

The waiter walked away shaking his head.

Thirty seconds later, the man shouted,

“HELP!”

The waiter ran back.

“What happened?”

“My phone won’t turn on!”

The waiter sighed.

“Congratulations. You successfully made it colder.”

The man looked at the freezer.

“So it worked?”

😂 Moral: Preventing a problem is useful—unless your solution creates a much bigger one.
