My Friend Claimed He Never Loses Anything
My friend proudly said,
“I never lose my keys.”
I asked,
“Really?”
“Never.”
Just then he started checking every pocket.
Then his backpack.
Then the car.
I smiled.
“Looking for something?”
“My keys.”
I laughed.
“I thought you never lost them.”
He grinned.
“I don’t.”
“So where are they?”
“They’re just… temporarily hiding.”
At that moment, his keys jingled in his other hand.
Neither of us had noticed.
