The Engineer Fixed the Broken Door by Adding a Second Door
The office door would not close.
The manager called an engineer.
“Can you fix it?”
The engineer looked at the door.
“Of course.”
He worked for an hour.
Then he called everyone over.
“Done.”
The manager opened the door.
Behind it was another door.
He stared at the engineer.
“What is this?”
“A better system.”
“But the first door is still broken!”
“Yes.”
“So why did you add another one?”
The engineer smiled.
“Now the broken door has someone to blame.”
The manager looked at the two doors.
Then he nodded.
“That is the most engineer thing I’ve ever seen.”
😂 Moral: When engineers can’t fix the problem, sometimes they build a bigger problem around it.
